The Renewed Hope Ambassadors Summit was successfully convened at the State House Banquet Hall, Abuja, on Tuesday, 24th February 2026. Proceedings began with the arrival, registration at Eagle Square, where accreditation was conducted, and participants were ferried to the State House in batches. The media reception, where participants and guests were received under red-carpet protocol arrangements. Media accreditation and seating were conducted while a pre-summit highlight reel and documentary showcasing milestones of the Renewed Hope Agenda was screened for attendees.
Opening Plenary Session
The summit formally commenced with Session I: Opening and Direction (Plenary), which began with the National Anthem, followed by an opening prayer and the introduction of dignitaries present at the event.
Opening Remarks
The Chairman of the Occasion, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), delivered the opening remarks. He emphasized the importance of structured grassroots engagement in strengthening democratic participation and ensuring that government policies and reforms are properly communicated to citizens at the community level.
Welcome Address
The Welcome Address was delivered by His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma, CON, Governor of Imo State, Chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum, and Director General of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors.
In his remarks, Governor Uzodimma outlined the vision behind the Renewed Hope Ambassadors initiative, describing it as a strategic national platform designed to bridge the gap between government policy and citizen understanding. He underscored the importance of mobilizing ambassadors across the country to take accurate information about government reforms to the grassroots while also channeling feedback from communities to policymakers.
Goodwill Messages
The summit featured a series of goodwill messages from invited dignitaries and stakeholders who commended the initiative and reiterated the importance of coordinated communication and citizen participation in national development.
Presentation of the Renewed Hope Compendium
A key highlight of the summit was the presentation of the Renewed Hope Compendium by His Excellency, Senator Kashim Shettima, GCON, Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The compendium provides a comprehensive overview of the policies, reforms, and development initiatives being implemented under the Renewed Hope Agenda. The Vice President emphasized that clear documentation and dissemination of government achievements are critical to ensuring transparency, accountability, and public trust.
Presidential Address and Official Opening
The summit reached its high point with the Presidential Address and Official Opening delivered by His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
In his address, President Tinubu reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to delivering on the promises of the Renewed Hope Agenda. He stressed the importance of citizen engagement, noting that effective communication of government reforms is essential to strengthening public confidence and ensuring that Nigerians understand the long-term benefits of ongoing economic and governance reforms.
The President formally declared the Renewed Hope Ambassadors Summit open, urging participants to serve as credible voices in their communities by sharing accurate information about government initiatives and opportunities available to citizens.
Group Photograph and Close of Plenary
Following the presidential address, dignitaries and participants took part in a group photograph session. The plenary session concluded with the National Anthem.
Technical Sessions
