Renewed Hope Ambassadors Get New Secretariat

The leadership of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, under the guidance of H.E. Hope Uzodinma, Governor of Imo State, conducted a strategic inspection of the organization’s national Secretariat in Abuja in the wake of the Federal Government’s formal launch of its nationwide grassroots engagement initiative.

The inspection — convened as part of a broader effort to operationalize the Secretariat as the central coordination hub for the movement — was orchestrated by Dr. Mustapha Abdullahi, Director General of the Energy Commission of Nigeria (ECN), whose coordination underscored heightened institutional synergy between government policy structures and grassroots mobilisation mechanisms.

Context and Strategic Imperatives

This development comes shortly after President Bola Ahmed Tinubu unveiled a comprehensive national grassroots engagement drive aimed at deepening citizen participation in governance, enhancing policy communication, and strengthening the interface between government reforms and community-level feedback systems. The Secretariat inspection is widely viewed as a critical step in translating that presidential directive into a structured delivery architecture.

Attendance and Stakeholder Participation

The visit drew significant participation from notable political stakeholders and zonal coordinators, reflecting broad-based support for the initiative across the political and governance ecosystem. Among those in attendance were:

  • Rt. Hon. Aminu Bello Masari – Former Governor of Katsina State

  • Senator Tanko Al-Makura – Former Governor of Nasarawa State

  • Senator Pius Anyim – Former Senate President

  • Senator Olubunmi Adetunmbi – National Legislator

  • Senior Presidential Media and Communications aides including Mr. Sunday Dare (Special Adviser on Media and Public Communications) and Mr. Otega Ogra (Senior Special Assistant on New Media)

Their presence lent political depth and communication expertise to the proceedings, underscoring the initiative’s ambition to blend strategic outreach with substantive engagement across Nigeria’s geopolitical zones.
