Lagos Ambassadors Get Brand New Secretariat in Kosofe

The Renewed Hope Ambassadors in Lagos State have received a major boost to their grassroots engagement drive with the commissioning of a fully furnished secretariat in Kosofe Local Government area.

The facility, donated by the Executive Chairman of Ikosi–Isheri Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Symbiat Abiodun Bada, will serve as the operational hub for the Renewed Hope Ambassadors in the axis, providing a base for planning, coordination, and community outreach in support of the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, Hon. Bada described the secretariat as a strategic investment in civic engagement and public awareness. She noted that the facility would enable the Ambassadors to effectively carry out their mandate of educating citizens about government reforms, policies, and opportunities under the Renewed Hope Agenda.

According to her, the office will function not only as a coordination centre for members but also as an information point where residents can obtain accurate updates about government programmes and initiatives.

The council chairman urged members of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors to approach their responsibilities with discipline, integrity, and a strong sense of service to the people.

“This secretariat is provided to strengthen your work at the grassroots. As ambassadors of Renewed Hope, you must remain committed to discipline, integrity, and responsible engagement with our communities,” she said.

Also speaking at the event, the Chief of Staff to the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Tayo Ayinde, described the commissioning as a demonstration of the commitment of grassroots leaders to deepening public awareness of government reforms.

He noted that the Renewed Hope Ambassadors initiative is designed to bridge the information gap between government and citizens by ensuring that communities understand the policies and programs being implemented for national development.

Ayinde emphasized that the initiative goes beyond politics, explaining that its primary objective is to improve public awareness and civic engagement around government reforms and opportunities available to citizens.

“We have only just begun. This initiative is not merely about politics or campaigning; it is about awareness. Many citizens are not aware of the various opportunities and programs available to them. The Renewed Hope Ambassadors are meant to ensure that this information reaches the grassroots,” he said.

The Lagos State Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors also described the secretariat as a significant milestone for the movement in the state. He encouraged local coordinators to replicate the initiative across other local government areas.

He expressed optimism that similar offices would soon be established across the remaining local governments in Lagos State, strengthening the structure for community engagement and policy sensitization.

“The expectation is that this example will be replicated across the state. As coordinators in the various local governments, the responsibility now is to ensure that Renewed Hope offices are established across the remaining councils,” he said.

He further emphasized that the Renewed Hope Ambassadors initiative was created to promote unity, collaboration, civic education, and constructive engagement with citizens rather than political division.

The newly commissioned secretariat is expected to serve as a centre for planning outreach activities, coordinating volunteers, and disseminating accurate information about government policies and development initiatives under the Renewed Hope Agenda.

Stakeholders at the event commended the Ikosi–Isheri LCDA chairman for supporting the initiative, noting that the facility would significantly enhance grassroots mobilization and public enlightenment efforts in Kosofe and surrounding communities
